Hello world! Ann Arbor of KFJC has a blog!

By annarborkfjc

My listeners and friends keep telling me that I need a blog so here it is: my very first blog.

I’ve hosted a morning drive time radio show on KFJC 89.7 FM in the San Francisco Bay Area for just about 15 years. My 15th anniversary will be officially on April 30th and you can join me from 6-10 a.m. every Wednesday either by radio, or through our webcasts which have a worldwide reach. (http://www.kfjc.org/)

As I gear up for my 15th anniversary show later this month, I’d love to get input from those who’ve listened to DANCIN’ IN THE FAST LANE over the years. I’d like to know what you remember.

What made a difference for you? (music, Unbedtime Story, Mayhem special, interview)

What had some impact on what you listen to, or what you’ve read?

What interview did you enjoy?

What Mayhem special do you still think about?

Have you ever attended one of my live remote broadcasts? or penny pitches? the Ann Arbor Film Festival? or other KFJC event?

Have you ever done an hour on the air with me?

Have I ever read your work? and/or interviewed you?

Your input is welcome.

Ann Arbor (KFJC) out….

Alexis: Thanks for your kind words! You’re thinking of Nora Maki’s HADES HAM JOURNAL I believe. It used to air on Fridays and the description you provided sounds like some of what Nora Maki wrote.
I found a show that she and I did together in December of 1999 when HADES HAM JOURNAL ended to commemorate the series and replay some of the classic pieces. I actually played some of that show earlier this month during Freak Week. If you want me to put you in touch with Nora Maki I can do that.
    Best,
